Why does the census matter?
Participating in the census is about exercising our collective power. The census is used to allocate representation, resources, and power. This is more than one person filling out a form and being counted, it is about entire communities and allies standing up and declaring that we matter!
In the 2020 Census you should include everyone who is living in your home on April 1. This count will determine funding for many of our community services, including:
Head Start programs
SNAP Food Assistance
Roads & Bridges
